OUR VISIT TO SILVER SPRINGS

Silver Springs is a collection of springs (100’s). Such a volume of water comes out (880 million gallons a day) that a river is created…..the Silver River. The Silver River eventually flows into the Gulf of Mexico.

And, the water is 99.8% pure and beautiful to look at! Silver Springs is an excellent dive location for movies. Many Tarzan movies were filmed there; a few James Bond thrillers; the “Creature From the Black Lagoon”; Crocodile Hunter Steve Irving did some parts of his movie here; and Tom Cruise used this facility also.

We enjoyed visiting Silver Springs, but boy, was it hot. It wore us all out. Coming back to the trailer was great because it was so cool inside. And we all went to sleep early!
