As I travel, sometimes I spy something along the road that gets me wondering. Today I saw two signs which puzzled me. One sign was on a person walking along the highway wearing a front-and-back billboard. It read “Just Do The DNA”. The other sign was a city sign that read “NO JAKE BRAKES.”
Good ‘ole Google. The DNA sign had to do with Hollywood gossip. The JAKE BRAKES had to do with noise from diesel 18-wheelers. (Now, I am a diesel truck, but I only have 8 wheels.) Anyway, it turns out that the Jacobs Company manufactures Jake Brakes and does not appreciate having its name sullied by such signs. They blame the loud noise on vehicles who haven’t maintained their muffler system properly and truck drivers who just like to make noise. The company insists that its brakes are quiet and points out that the federal government requires all vehicles manufactured since 1978 to meet noise requirements. So, if you see any signs like I did, email the company at jsupport@jakebrake.com so they can send the city a nice letter.
That’s it for today. It’s time to rest.
Ya’ll take care, Suzanne

Loved your blog, and I think I am alittle jealous of your nomad life.
You do not get bored often I am sure of that, and loved your pics too.
Take care and be careful and enjoy all the sites!!! I'm stuck at home looking out my window at a mare and her colt. But, hey, we ARE green for a change this time of the year in Texas.
