A pencil sharpener. There is nothing quite so nice as a sharpened wooden pencil. I know they get dull, but they have such a nice feel to them, and you can chew on them if you need a tension reliever. The plane old yellow ones are my favorite.

My dad also likes wooden pencils, and his electric pencil sharpener had stopped working. I thought I would try to fix it. After all, what did I have to lose…..it was already broken! I adjusted several things, but the sharpener still wouldn’t work. I thought about it a bit and then remembered….when nothing works, it’s time to google!

So, I googled the brand and model number, thinking this is a long shot. But Google came through! The fourth item down read Anyone Can Fix It….Foray Pencil Sharpener Model 7845. I read the instructions, gathered the tools, unplugged the sharpener, and tore it apart. I couldn’t stop laughing the whole time I was working on it. No way was this going to work!!

I put it back together, and it worked!!
